  • It is time to begin the 2018 season for providing Christmas assistance for Carteret County families that have exceptional needs at Christmas.  This year, in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, the need for assistance will be significantly greater than in prior years.  There are many ways Chamber members can support Christmas Cheer this holiday season. Businesses, civic clubs and organizations, churches and individuals can adopt families and provide food and children’s gifts, provide financial donations for food ($60 will provide for a family of four), adopt individual children and provide their Christmas gifts.
  • Project Christmas Cheer will start taking applications for 2018 Christmas Cheer assistance on Monday, November 5.  There will be Angel Tree locations at Newport Baptist Church and the Sports Center in Morehead City beginning on Monday, November 12.  Angels will be available for adoption at the One Harbor Churches in Morehead and Beaufort beginning Sunday, November 25.
