BARRE FITNESS

There will be NO BARRE CLASS IN MAY.  Classes will resume June 12th-14th.  The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will now be offering a fitness class called Barre Fit. This program is offered Tuesdays at 5:30 PM as well as Thursdays at 10:00AM and 5:30 PM. The program costs $20 for 4 classes a month (one class per week).  If you don’t wish to sign up for the program, you can pay a $10 daily drop-in fee. Class-goers need to bring water, yoga mat or towel is optional. This class is a hybrid of Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet Flexibility and will consist of stretching/strengthening of all major muscle groups, creating lean and long muscles without bulk, and strengthening abdominal and back muscles improving balance and back pain. Recreational Cornhole

Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department is now offering recreational, open play corn-hole.  Corn-hole will take place on Wednesday evenings beginning March 28th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department (1600 Fisher Street, Morehead City, NC, 28557). The American Music Festival presents The Aizuri Quartet in Concert @ First Presbyterian Church

The American Music Festival presents The Aizuri Quartet in Concert on Saturday, January 26, at 8 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church, 1604 Arendell Street, Morehead City.
As the Quartet-in-Residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Aizuri  has won prestigious awards and were most recently acclaimed for their debut album of new voices in American music.  Aizuri will perform Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet in B-flat Major, Op. 18 No. 6; Caroline Shaw (b. 1982): Blueprint; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: String Quartet in F Major, K. 590; Gabriella Smith (b. 1991): Carrot Revolution

Community Yoga @ MHC Parks and Rec

Community Yoga Class (formerly Gentle Yoga) is offered EVERY Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $5.00 per class – No Membership or Registration Required – Mats are available as well.
