12th Annual Crystal Coast Boat Show @ Downtown Morehead City
May 18 @ 9:00 am – May 19 @ 4:00 pm

The Crystal Coast Boat Show features both new and used boats, in-water and on land, as well as showcasing a variety of marine products and services, outdoor gear, fishing tackle, brokers and resource conservation groups.   The boat show is free and open to the public on Saturday, May 18th, 9am-5pm and on Sunday, May 19th, 9am -4pm.

Saturday, May 18

  • Boats in-water and on-land, 9 am-5 pm, Jaycee Park (across from Bask Hotel)
  • The Sunshine Band, 10:30am, Jaycee Park
  • Morehead City Chapter, Antique Automobile Club of America 46th Annual Car Show (vintage vehicles no less than 25 years old), 800 block of Arendell, 9 am-3 pm
  • Sail Carteret sailing races and free sailboat rides, 9 am -5 pm, 10th Street Beach
  • DJ Raymond Rigsbee, 9am – 5pm, Jaycee Park

Sunday, May 19

  • Boats in-water and on-land, 9 am-4 pm, Jaycee Park (across from Bask Hotel)
  • Carteret County Home Builder Association “Builder Throwdown” Cornhole Tournament, Noon, (registration begins at 11am and a 2 player team is $150), 800 block of Arendell

Community Yoga @ MHC Parks and Rec
May 20 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Community Yoga Class (formerly Gentle Yoga) is offered EVERY Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $5.00 per class – No Membership or Registration Required – Mats are available as well.

All classes will be held at the Morehead City Parks & Recreation Center located at 1600 Fisher Street.

BARRE FITNESS

There will be NO BARRE CLASS IN MAY.  Classes will resume June 12th-14th.  The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will now be offering a fitness class called Barre Fit. This program is offered Tuesdays at 5:30 PM as well as Thursdays at 10:00AM and 5:30 PM. The program costs $20 for 4 classes a month (one class per week).  If you don’t wish to sign up for the program, you can pay a $10 daily drop-in fee. Class-goers need to bring water, yoga mat or towel is optional. This class is a hybrid of Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet Flexibility and will consist of stretching/strengthening of all major muscle groups, creating lean and long muscles without bulk, and strengthening abdominal and back muscles improving balance and back pain. Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department is now offering recreational, open play corn-hole.  Corn-hole will take place on Wednesday evenings beginning March 28th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department (1600 Fisher Street, Morehead City, NC, 28557).
