Local Vets offer Discounted Rabies Vaccinations in cooperation with the Carteret County Animal Control

Crystal Coast Earth Day Celebration at Fort Macon

Reenactors with the 1st NC Volunteers will be spending the weekend at Ft. Macon presenting the public with special events and programs. Events will be held from 10 – 4 and may include flag talks, women’s dress talks musket drills and artillery demonstrations. A skirmish scenario will take place at 1:30. 6th Annual “Play the K” Golf Tournament @ The Beaufort Club

On Saturday, April 27, the 6th Annual Kirsten McDonald Memorial Charity Golf Tournament, also known as Play the K, will be held at the Beaufort Club Golf Course. The goal of this tournament is to create a sustainable memorial to honor Kirsten’s life and to support deserving youth in Carteret County. 100% of the net proceeds raised will be donated to local nonprofit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain. Community Yoga @ MHC Parks and Rec

BARRE FITNESS

BARRE FITNESS

There will be NO BARRE CLASS IN MAY.  Classes will resume June 12th-14th.  The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will now be offering a fitness class called Barre Fit. This program is offered Tuesdays at 5:30 PM as well as Thursdays at 10:00AM and 5:30 PM. The program costs $20 for 4 classes a month (one class per week).  If you don’t wish to sign up for the program, you can pay a $10 daily drop-in fee. Class-goers need to bring water, yoga mat or towel is optional. This class is a hybrid of Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet Flexibility and will consist of stretching/strengthening of all major muscle groups, creating lean and long muscles without bulk, and strengthening abdominal and back muscles improving balance and back pain.
