Community Yoga @ MHC Parks and Rec

Community Yoga Class (formerly Gentle Yoga) is offered EVERY Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $5.00 per class – No Membership or Registration Required – Mats are available as well.

All classes will be held at the Morehead City Parks & Recreation Center located at 1600 Fisher Street.

There will be NO BARRE CLASS IN MAY.  Classes will resume June 12th-14th.  The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will now be offering a fitness class called Barre Fit. This program is offered Tuesdays at 5:30 PM as well as Thursdays at 10:00AM and 5:30 PM. The program costs $20 for 4 classes a month (one class per week).  If you don’t wish to sign up for the program, you can pay a $10 daily drop-in fee. Class-goers need to bring water, yoga mat or towel is optional. This class is a hybrid of Yoga, Pilates, and Ballet Flexibility and will consist of stretching/strengthening of all major muscle groups, creating lean and long muscles without bulk, and strengthening abdominal and back muscles improving balance and back pain. The popular dinner series is back! Enjoy a four-course meal prepared by Culinary Students and top local chefs. Get a ticket for an individual dinner, or the whole series but act fast because they always sell out! Doors open at 5:30pm, Hors d’Oeuvres until 6:30pm. This is an annual event that occurs once a month during January, February, March and April. All four dinners will feature the best French Cuisine (four course-meal). This amazingly unique event supports the CCC Culinary Program. The Culinary Program is vibrantly training tomorrow’s chefs. Carteret Community College is very proud that we send 3-4 students annually to France for a month internship. During this month-long trip the students train under the best French Escoffier Chefs in the world! Chef Floyd Olmstead will be the featured chef for March 26.
