The successful bidder shall provide the necessary labor and equipment to remove litter and trash, mow and trim the following listed locations. The contractor shall mow and trim each location twice monthly unless otherwise noted in the Detailed Specifications. The first mowing shall begin on or near the first day of the month. The second mowing shall begin on or near the 15th day of the month. No mowing shall occur during Saturday, Sunday or holidays without prior approval from the Public Works Superintendent. Adjustments to the mowing schedule shall be done only with the mutual consent of the contractor and the Superintendent. Adjusted mowing schedules shall not constitute an additional mowing. The contractor shall begin the mowing season the first working day of April. The mowing season shall end with the final mowing in October. If the mowing season is begun or ended so as to cause only one mowing in a monthly period or only one mowing in a month is completed the contractor shall be paid for one half of the monthly charge. If the contractor is unable to complete all mowing within any particular month and the City chooses, the amount due shall be prorated accordingly. Contractor shall meet with the Public Work Superintendent and develop a list of mowing dates. |
