Officers with the Morehead City Police Department arrested a couple on September 26th, 2023, following an investigation related to the sexual assault of a juvenile.
Detectives with the Morehead City Police Department arrested Jeffery Carroll Salter, 37, and Alexandria Elaine Salter, 33, both of Morehead City.
With the assistance of the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office, Ms. Salter was arrested at her residence in Morehead City and Mr. Salter was arrested at his mother’s residence in Brandywine Bay.
Mr. Salter was charged with one count of Indecent Liberties With a Minor – Felony, and received a $125,000 secured bond.
Ms. Salter was charged with one count of Accessory After The Fact – Felony, and received a $40,000 secured bond.
