Youth Defensive Line Football Camp
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that we are hosting a Youth Defensive Line Camp for ages 13-18 on May 27th from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The camp will be led by defensive line coach John Downing of Wingate University. The camp will be held at the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Center, at 1600 Fisher Street. There is no cost for children and registration is available in house, or online by clicking here. Donations will be accepted at start of the camp. All proceeds will benefit the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department Scholarship Fund. Junior Golf
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department will be offering Junior Golf League beginning in June 2023. All practices will take place at the Morehead City Country Club. Matches will be held from June - August at varying locations. The league is open to youth boys and girls ages 10-18. The cost is $60 for the full league. Click here to register. Cheerleading Camp
Cheerleading Camp will be offered by Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department from August 7th-11th. For ages 5-7, camp will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and cost $30. For ages 8-14, camp will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and cost $50. Basketball Camp
Basketball Camp will be offered by Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department. This camp will be led by Keith McLawhorn, who has trained multiple NBA, WNBA, and D1 players. The camp will cost $60 per child and take place from June 12th-15th at the below times:
- Ages 7-10; 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
- Ages 11-14; 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
- Ages 15-18; 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Co-ed Youth Indoor Volleyball
Morehead City Parks and Recreation will be offering an Indoor Youth Volleyball League for ages groups 9-11 and 12-14. This will be a co-ed league with all games and practices happening at the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Building. Sign up your child(red) at the Recreation center or click here. Adult Co-ed Volleyball
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department is starting an Adult Co-ed Volleyball league on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. The cost will be $200 per team and teams must consist of both men and women, ages 18 and up. Practices will start March 6 with games starting on March 13. Sign-up your team at the Recreation center or click here. Basketball for All Abilities
We are excited to offer basketball on Wednesdays from 4 - 5 p.m. at the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Center all ages and abilities are welcome. There is a focus on learning basic basketball skills while doing fun drills and light conditioning. Recreation Center pass is required. Open Play Basketball
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department offers Open-Play Basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays 12 - 2 p.m. All participants must purchase an annual pass. For more information, call 252-726-5083, ext. 701.
Open Play Pickleball
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department offers open-play pickleball Tuesday and Thursday from 9 - 11 a.m. and Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. All participants must have a day pass or an annual pass. Please call 252-726-5083, ext. 701 for more information.
Summer Tennis Camps
Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department is excited to be offering tennis camps throughout the summer. Camps will be offered for ages 8-14 and be broken down into groups by ages and skill level.
