2017 Spring Break Tennis Camp– (April 17-21, 2017)

The camp will offer an exciting tennis experience with an emphasis on fun, skill development, tactics and competition. Concentration will be placed on an intermediate to advanced level of play. The camp will emphasize technique tactics in an intense training environment. This will include patterns, rotations, and bump drills to build stroke development.  Randy Bailey  -USPTR Certified Tennis Professional- will be coaching the camp.  He has coached players to multiple state, southern and national championships for over 30 years.  All participants should wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and bring a tennis racquet, water, sunscreen and a hat.

Soccer Camp – (2017 Dates: June 12-15)

The camp will offer an exciting soccer experience with an emphasis on fun, skill development, tactics and competition. Concentration will be placed on establishing basic skills such as shooting, trapping, dribbling, and building upon these skills through staff demonstration and instruction.

The camp will emphasize technique tactics in an intense training environment. The camp will be divided to age and skill level, so the content of the camp as well as the intensity will be structured to meet the varying needs of the different participants

Camp Staff: Sean Brennan – Former Associate Head Coach at the University of North Carolina Pembroke & Current Head Coach at the University of Mount Olive. The camp may also have college players and high school coaches and players.

Equipment: All participants should wear comfortable clothing for soccer, must wear shin guards, and bring a soccer ball and water bottle.

2017 Summer Day Camp (Dates: June 19 – August 11)

The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department sponsors an eight-week Summer Camp Program for children ages 3-12. Program dates are June 19 – August 11 from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Camp staff supervises daily activities and field trips.

Fees for the 8-week program are $300.00 per child ($250.00 each additional child) for Morehead City residents or $450.00 per child ($400.00 each additional child) for non-residents. Limited registration is available for weekly campers each week at $60.00 per week for Morehead City residents and $90.00 per week for non-city residents.

The department promotes fun recreational and educational activities in the daily program of games, sports, arts and crafts and field trips. For more information call 252-726-5083.

*** Pre/Post Summer Camp Program – The Pre/Post Camp program provides childcare for children ages 6-12 prior to and after our 8-week summer camp. Program fees are $60.00 per week for Morehead City residents and $90.00 per week for non-city residents. Summer Beginner Tennis Camps – (2016 Dates: June 26-28 or July 31- August 2)

The camp will offer an exciting tennis experience with an emphasis on fun.  Concentration will be placed on establishing basic skill development and focus on eye-hand coordination, footwork, fundamentals of all the basic strokes and etiquette of the game of tennis. This is an introductory/beginner level instructional camp.

The camp will offer an exciting volleyball experience with an emphasis on fun, skill development, tactics and competition. Concentration will be placed on establishing basic skills through staff demonstration and instruction.
