The waterfront in Downtown Morehead City comes alive on Tuesday, 4th of July with live music and fireworks. The entire family will enjoy sounds of a The Main Event Band as they perform from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Jaycee Park on the Morehead City Waterfront. Celebrate the 4th by dancing to the music and viewing a spectacular fireworks display on the waterfront. The fireworks display will be launched from Sugarloaf Island across from Jaycee Park at 9:00 p.m. For more information call 252-726-5083.
Join us for the 31st annual Seafood Festival Twin Bridges 8k Run. The Twin Bridges 8K will begin at 8:00 a.m. just west of the Beaufort Drawbridge, on the Morehead- Beaufort Causeway. The race will finish in front of the Bella Pizza & Subs on the Atlantic Beach Causeway. This is a running event; no walkers are allowed for this event.
The entry fee is $20 before 9/22/17 and $30 after 9/22/17. Registration opens July 1st.

Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Rotary Park located at 2200 Mayberry Loop Road in Morehead City. The egg hunt activity areas are divided into three sections by the following age groups: 4 & under, 5-8, and 9-12. NO PETS PLEASE!
Although thousands of eggs will be in each age section, kids tend to clean up these toy and candy-filled eggs much faster than they clean their rooms!! Plan to arrive early because the youth usually collect all the eggs in less than two minutes. DON’T BE LATE!! For more information call 252-726-5083.
Following the Egg Hunt, bring the whole family to walk and/or run on the Rotary Park-O’Neal Field exercise trail. The 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run will begin at 10:00 a.m. and MCPRD staff will direct participants on the 1 mile course. This non-competitive event promotes family wellness and pre-registration is not required for this event. NO PETSor BIKES PLEASE!
