Calico Creek Boardwalk

Boardwalk runs from North 19th and Bay Street along Calico Creek to North 22nd Street.

City Docks – 807 Shepard Street (Transient Rental Facilities)

Transient rental docks (10) with restroom and shower facilities. Shared parking at Jaycee Park.

City Docks are managed by Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department.  Dockage rate: $40.40 flat rate plus an additional $1.55 per foot for boats over 26 feet. Dockage fee includes water and electricity. All reservations are processed through Dockwa and Checks and Cash are NOT accepted.

Conchs Point – 608 Bay Street

Public water access with gazebo and floating dock. Conchs Point docks are available for public use with a 90 minute limit.

Newport River Boat Ramps & Pier (Radio Island) – 301 Highway 70

Public water access with boat launches (6), fishing pier (575’), trailer parking (56), and restrooms.

North 11th Street Water Access – North 11th & Edgewater Place

Public water access with dock.

Ottis Landing Deck, Weigh Station, & Day Docks – 711 Shepard Street

The Ottis Landing deck is located on the footprint of the former Ottis’ Fish Market. The deck is adjacent to the Town’s weigh station and overlooks the Morehead City Waterfront and Sugarloaf Island. Ottis Landing day docks are available for public use with a 4 hour limit. Please contact the Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department at 252-726-5083 to inquire about reserving Ottis Landing or the weigh station.  

South 6th Street Day Docks – South 6th & Evans Street

6th Street day docks are available for public use with a 4 hour limit.

South 8th Street Day Dock – South 8th & Shepard Street

The 8th Street day dock is available for public use with a 90 minute limit.

South 10th Street Water Access & Boat Ramp – 1001 Shepard Street

Public water access with parking, pier, and boat launch (1) for boats 16’ or less. 10th Street docks are available for public use with a 90 minute limit.

South 11th Street Water Access – South 11th & Shepard Street

Public water access with parking and hand launching capabilities for canoes, kayaks, and catamarans.

11th Street Vessel Permits: The Morehead City Parks and Recreation Department accepts 11th Street Vessel Parking Permit applications annually on March 1; permits are valid March 1 – January 15 of the pass year. MCPRD will begin accepting 2017-18 permit applications on Wednesday, March 1 at 7:00 a.m. at the Morehead City Recreation Center located at 1600 Fisher Street. Vessel permit cost is $25.

Public water access with concrete walk.

South 28th Street Water Access – South 28th & Evans Street

Public water access with bench, rocks, and parking.

Sunset Drive Water Access – South 32nd & Sunset Drive

Public water access with boardwalk.
