The City Clerk performs all duties required by the City Charter, State Laws and Ordinances; acts as secretary to the Mayor, City Council and City Manager. Maintains City records and proceedings of all Council meetings/workshops, prepares Council agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, proclamations, public notices, and records. Coordinates the codification, indexing, microfilming, and changes to the Morehead City Code of Ordinances. The City Clerk acts as the central source of information and is the liaison between the Council and the public.
